“Transfer Effect” controls the whole colony

Termites are social insects that live in large, underground colonies. They feed each other primarily by passing food from mouth to mouth. They groom each other and contact each other as they forage for food.

Termidor’s Perimeter Plus program requires an exterior liquid perimeter application. This application provides a continuously treated zone around the structures entire foundation, plus localized interior applications to areas with known termite activity. For structures with accessible crawl space construction, Seitz Brothers must also treat around all piers and pipes inside the crawl, regardless if termites are present. The Results: A Perimeter Plus application requires fewer chemicals than conventional treatments and is less invasive and disruptive to you, the homeowner.

But because the fipronil in Termidor is slow acting and non-repellent to the termites, it allows the termites to continue their normal routine; thus the exposed termites transfer the termiticide to a large number of colony members before dying themselves.

Termites don’t know it’s there

Many termiticides are repellents. This means that they only keep termites away from a treated area, rather than killing them.

Termidor is non-repellent

Termites can’t smell it, see it or feel it. Since they don’t know it’s there, they forage freely in a treated area and are thereby eliminated by the termiticide.

Seitz Bros.  termite technicians go through in-house training and attend industry training conferences. Every termite technician is required by Seitz Bros. to pass an Accredited wood destroying insect certification as well as specialized certification in termite control.
